Erik was born and raised in Charlotte, NC and played football at East Carolina University as a wide receiver and punt returner. He moved to Northern Virginia in May 2010 and has played men’s and co-ed flag football with FXA Sports since 2012. Since 2016, Erik has owned and operated First Sound Training, where he coaches, trains and develops athletes, His specialty is in the agility, footwork, speed and explosion of all sports. “I’ve always wanted to do more in the area when it came to the youth. And with my athletic background and knowledge, I knew starting my business was my deepest purpose. In the past 4 years I’ve coached/trained athletes who have gone on to schools like Notre Dame, Stanford, Princeton, Michigan, Penn State, UVA, UNC, Georgetown and most recently seen my first athlete Michael “Mookie” Dereus signed with the Baltimore Ravens of the NFL. This journey has truly been a blessing, and seeing these young men and women achieve their goals in their respective sports is an amazing feeling.”
